So, I am part of a wonderful group of women called 'Thrive' and I decided to join their event at three sisters today.
It's a venue I was planning on trying next year as they are not open all year round unless privately arranged it seems!
The second swim in 24 hours meant I had to get everything dry quickly which is not easy with neoprene.
Well, isn't this place a well kept secret, not only is it a very nice lake it is also open year round, particularly midweek, and its on my doorstep. I of course joined as a member which means I have more choice of swim locations which makes me very happy 😊
Look at this view, water was 11 degrees so a tad colder than yesterday and the air temperature was 12 degrees.

There were lots of women there, some to swim and some to dip, there was a fire pit going and lots of chatter. I am also very interested in some upcoming events especially the moonlight dip under a full moon. I've swam as the sun is rising so I am keen to experience the moonlight.
The lake itself is quite shallow and my feet touching the reeds freaked me out a bit despite having socks on 🤣
I didn't paddleboard this time but I will next time for sure! And there were hot showers and changing rooms. I also managed 250m bringing my total to 1300m this month so far.
I tested the functionality of my dry robe by literally putting it on over my wetsuit straight out of the lake and it stayed dry! So once dressed i was able to put it back on again. It's like magic!
Added bonus, my hair was still clean and I was able to dry it and go out with the family without washing it. I will wash it later but made it so much easier not having to wash chlorine out.
What an amazing weekend of swims! Wish I could go every day as the health benefits are immeasurable and I feel like I experience them all.
